AGREEMENT WITH LOCAL 1321

 

ARTICLE XVIII - NON-DISCRIMINATION

Section 1.

The Library agrees to continue its established policy prohibiting all forms of unlawful discrimination, including but not limited to unlawful discrimination based upon race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, marital status or sexual orientation, as defined by law, in the making of employment decisions.

Section 2.

The Union agrees to continue its established policy prohibiting all forms of unlawful discrimination, including but not limited to unlawful discrimination based upon race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, marital status or sexual orientation as defined by law, the representation of or the provision of benefits to all employees of the Library included in the bargaining units described in Article II, Bargaining Units, Unit Inclusions and all other employees to whom the Union provides representation or benefits under law or agreement.

Section 3.

Certain administrative, arbitrational and judicial tribunals having been established by law with the power, duty and purpose of the enforcement of the rights of any individual unlawfully discriminated against by reason of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, marital status or sexual orientation, the parties agree that any grievance arising under this article shall not be subject to arbitration.
